Availability of titles on website

Girol’s website lists more than 4,000 in-stock titles. However, due to daily fluctuations in the inventory, we cannot guarantee that every title listed on the website is currently in stock. If a title is marked as “TOS” or “Unavailable”, please check with us for an up-to-date status. Most out-of-stock titles or special orders can be supplied in 6 to 8 weeks; however, since most of the books come from Europe or Latin America this timeframe can not be guaranteed.


Please note that all prices shown on our website are in Canadian dollars and do not include any applicable taxes or shipping costs. All prices are subject to change without notice. For deliveries to customers outside Canada, all applicable customs and brokerage fees as well as any local taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.

Place an order

Orders can be placed by submitting the book bag form on our website, by email, by telephone or fax at (613)-233-9044.


Girol accepts payment by Visa and Master Card. Girol also accepts cheques and EFTs from individuals with an account, commercial establishments and institutions. At this time and for security reasons, Girol accepts the necessary credit card information by fax, or telephone. If you prefer, you may send us an email with your name, location and telephone number and we will contact you for this information.


For orders to destinations in Canada, we ship by either Canada Post or CANPAR. For shipments outside of Canada, we ship by Canada Post. Shipping costs depend on the dimensions, weight and destination of the package. Girol does not charge any handling fees. Institutions or clients wishing other types of delivery should contact us to make the necessary arrangements.


Girol accepts returns on defective books and will make a complete refund if it can not be replaced. Girol will also accept returns of up to 20% of Girol publications only. Books by other publishers are non-returnable. In all cases the client must request permission to return books and provide the Girol Invoice Number and Date within one (1) year from the Invoice date. We will then credit your account. These books must be in a condition that allows them to be resold as new books. If they are shop-worn, damaged or if they are returned with stickers affixed or stamped in any way, we will reduce the amount of the credit. There is no “restocking” charge. Permission to return should be requested by email, by telephone at (613) 233-9044 or by fax at the same number.

Important Instructions For Shipping Returns From USA To Canada

To avoid charges or delays sending books back into Canada (i.e. shipping across an international border), ship via the US POSTAL SYSTEM and MARK the CUSTOMS DECLARATION FORM on the OUTSIDE OF THE PARCEL with the words “CANADIAN GOODS RETURNED.” IF YOU SHIP VIA UPS, FEDEX OR OTHER COURIER the parcel(s) will automatically be stopped by Canada Customs and any re-entry brokerage fees will be deducted from your credit.
